Coca Cola, a favorite around here, went politically correct this holiday season by making its trademark red can white and featuring a save the polar bears theme. Very cool looking can for the season. So Coke captures the environmental movement. But wait, in dimly lit restaurants folks cannot tell the difference between the real Coca Cola and the Diet Coca Cola as these pictures show. Oh oh. Another marketing mistake, it first appears. But then Coke immediately stops producing the white Polar Bear can, instantly making it a collector piece. And, in all of this Coca Cola gets tons of free press, which in the end is a brilliant marketing move, albeit probably not planned that way. Let’s hope not. Go Coca Cola still.
